Collectors: A solution to store and display your miniatures

Hi! Sorry this has taken so much. 

So, a couple updates since the last one, Many backers have requested shipping of their pledges individually, however I have found the costs to be exhorbitant. A single Collector X shipped to the US costs about $200, prices for more collectors get higher (while not doubling, still increasing steadily to very high numbers). We would discount whatever we already charged for shipping in the backerkit for each order, but the backer would need to pay the difference. 

Still I will follow through with backers and offer this option, I wanted to have another option and an updated timeline before having backers choose this much more expensive option. 

I have followed up with another freight forwarder, I went to the storage facility where we have everything today (the manufacturer's warehouse) everything is still there, we have not mounted the final pallets since each freight forwarder has their own specifications of weight and dimensions we need to follow. 

I have a meeting to check all the numbers I sent today next week, and we'll see where we are there. 

It's really sad, I know faith for this project is very very low, but we are still here, and still trying to find a solution to this, we have even looked at taking out a loan to pay part of the increased price quoted to us by the past shipping partner. 

I hope to be writing with better news next week. I'll try to slowly catch up on the backlog of DMs and offer individual pricing on shipping for pledges from backers that have requested them soon too. 

Sorry again, I know words aren't much, I am hoping to soon have an update that gets the product closer to being in everyone's hands. 

Thanks for the patience, I know there is little of it left, and some people are very rightfully angry, but I wanted to make a short update to show that we are still here, and the project is still going and planned for delivery, we are moving everything we can to get this delivered.  

Shipping update

Hi everyone, 

Short start of the year update. I know we are very delayed, a lot of backers started asking for direct shipping options, unfortunately they are incredibly high (3-4x the cost that backers already paid to get it shipped directly) I will send those to backers that requested them anyway so they can have them handy. 

But now for the actual good news! I found a freight-forwarding service that seems to have a cost that is higher than we originally anticipated, but not as much as I got last year, so I am in talks to see if we can get everything shipped which would mean we would no longer need to ship to individual backers. 

I have a meeting with them next week, so I hope to have more news on that front then. 

Sorry for the delay, I know this is not a great update, but thought to share where we are at. I will try to get through direct messages next week and answer to those that have them pending.

Hi collectors! 

Sorry about the lack of updates, we are manufacture and package complete.

The project is stored at our manufacturer's site. Unfortunately the price rises from internation shipping combined with the tariffs has made it a bit hard to find a solution within our budget to ship to our fulfillment center (price compared to our quote when project launched is 5x which is just not doable). 

We are working very hard to get the finished product in everyone's hands. We worked really hard to make them and now they are all ready, but moving them has been the hard part. 

We hope to find a solution for shipping soon, we'll keep you updated although it does present a challenge since we have limited funds, and have already spent (from our pockets) more on storage than intended. 

I wanted to share a better update with better news, but thought I would share where we are at. We are trying hard to find something November, since December will se Holiday price-hikes which would most likely mean delays until next year, in any case if that happens I will let everyone know. 

Sorry again for the not-good news, but we are still working on getting the rewards to your hands, if we find ourselves at an impasse we will let you know. 

Thanks for understanding, I know these are not the news everyone wanted, and while the outlook looks grim at the moment we will work to find a way forward.

Hello Collectors!

The project is being boxed-up as we speak, we finally got our boxes and envelopes to our manufacturer, and they are starting the packaging process. I will upload pictures of the process later this month. 

We are still looking for a freight solution, we have found a couple options which are sadly a bit out of budget for us. The Collector boxes are slim, however they are a bit heavy for their size. A Collector X weights at 8lb and a VY weights 6lb so in the end we are looking at about 4 pallets of quite heavy stuff we need to move to the fulfillment partners, we are looking into shipping the whole lot to the US and then freight forward to other places from there (shipping direct from Mexico is quite expensive, even by boat, so we are looking at alternatives). 

We have a couple more leads to explore! so hopefully one of them pans out and we find a fast solution to ship these out sometime November is our current estimate. 

The current world is a bit chaotic and logistic partners are changing costs week by week, so we are adapting as we can. Once we have the project completely ready to ship we'll have to make a fast decision, and we'll keep everyone in the loop.

Fighting boxes but moving forward!

Hey Collectors! 

We are moving with the project, some things are taking a lot more than expected but here is where we are at! 

• Manufacture is now 100% complete! All collectors are accounted and ready. They are awaiting the boxes to start final packing. 
• Boxes! We ran into some issues (pictures below) with the final box for the Collectors, the manufacturer didn't respect the specs we provided and the boxes ended up being about a half an inch short in all directions, so we had to send them back and make changes on the design. 
• Envelopes! We have the envelopes (the trays and covers will come in bubble mailers) ready to go, we have packed all the metal trays which we had at our workshop to make progress where we can while we wait for other parts. 
• Fulfillment - We already contacted our fulfillment partners about the project and we are starting lists and plans on how to get these to you, the packages are heavy, so figuirng out freight shipping for the main orders is very important and we need to take care of the budget so we don't overshoot and get in problems with the final fulfillment costs.

Perfect! everything fits and with a couple stickers the box should be quite sturdy. Keep in mind that the box is a prototype, the final one will be clean and won't have the guide lines, but this is close to what the packs will look like! 

I'll post an update next month, hopefully when the packs are on their way, the box will take an extra week and a half to arrive, and then we start the packing of the almost a thousand collectors!
